I recently had the pleasure of dining at Delicias Cafe and it was a fantastic experience. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors that truly captured the essence of Mexican cuisine. The interior decor is equally impressive, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that enhances your dining experience. I stopped by for lunch, and I was thoroughly impressed by the overall ambiance and service. If you live near this restaurant, I highly recommend making it your go-to spot for Mexican food. You won't be disappointed!
Service was great. Absolutely loved our waiter. The atmosphere I cannot say the same. I come to eat after getting out of work to just go to another loud place where staff was being unacceptably loud. Why are you yelling at your employees so all of your customers can hear. I think that was very distasteful and uncomfortable and unprofessional. However food was great. Although did not appreciate hearing this lady just yelling at her workers. Little note for new customers just wear your headphones if you decide to dine in.
This cafe used to serve very good authentic mexican food. I think either they have a new owner or a new cook. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was kind of empty. We ordered, I a small menudo and a small plate of tacos, the other person ordered tacos de lengua and melon drink. The menudo was very good. But instead of bringing lengua tacos, the server brought a barbacoa plate. I pointed out to her that that was definitely not lengua. She took it back to the kitchen, brought it back and said the cook said that it was lengua. I tasted it, it was barbacoa and not just that, it was cold and dry! Barbacoa is a very fatty meat. Imagine it being cold on top of all! Did the cook think I was going to mistake barbacoa for lengua? Additionally, my small plate of tacos was served too poorly, the shells had been fried but served cold. Awful! I removed only the dry, tasteless meat and brought it home for my dog. The server tried to apologize for the food but I said it wasn't her fault that the food was so bad. I love mexican food but I won't be going back to Delicias again. With the prices as high as they are, I consider eating out a special day only to be ruined by bad food. I even mentioned to the other person that if the restaurant does not improve they're going under quickly with so many mexican places in town.
We ordered Lent plate special and the food wasn’t tasteful. The lentils and iced tea were the best part of special. The fish was served with Mexican rice and mashed potatoes (nasty). The shrimp patties with red sauce and nopales was gross. The caprotada was even worse.
This establishment offers an excellent Mexican café experience. The quality of both the service and the food is truly phenomenal. Guests should anticipate a dining environment that can be somewhat lively and energetic. Despite the vibrant atmosphere, the culinary offerings and attentive staff make it a highly recommended destination. It stands out for its exceptional approach to Mexican cuisine and customer care.
Delicias is a great option if you are looking for a home-like Mexican dish. The restaurant has a family feel and their employees are always welcoming. The food tastes good and is always fresh. I really like their salsa; it has the right level of spiciness.
One of the better Tex-mex restaurants I've been to in El Paso. I enjoyed the food overall, even though I had machaca for the first time and it wasn't my cup of tea. Not too expensive either, which is a huge plus. The service was excellent and I would suggest appreciating the Mexican history while waiting for your food, Mexican pride is permeated throughout. I will probably visit again.
This is a nice west side standard, the food is always good here, and the staff very friendly. Ileana and Muriel are twins, and they work here, and they are super nice and sweet. During lunch things can get very crowded, and you may have to wait for a table. It is not huge inside. The decor is colorful. They do serve bottled beer, but no other alcoholic beverages. This is definitely family friendly and wheelchair accessible. I recommend this restaurant for authentic Mexican food.
